I'd played around with Blender before 2023 (Donuts, of course)
But it wasn't until last year that I started creating my own things
I love 3D modelling, its really nice to develop a scene in my head
over
time and then be able to translate that into the 3D space!
This was my final big VCE project, and I embarked on my most ambitious
piece of art ever
I only just managed to finish it! Although some areas do feel a tad
empty
Adds to the style I guess?
This artwork made it to the NGV Top Arts shortlist phase, but sadly
didn't make it in :(
I was inspired by Retro (90's-ish) Anime Cityscapes, VHS footage
distortion and Japanese Urban Environments.
Blending it with my own unique style I had developed.
I'm Really happy with how the whole thing turned out, it was a
culmination
of a years work on smaller 3D scenes, which you can see below
The renders below were suplimented by an Animated Segment which
featured moving trains!
My original plan was to put it on a real VHS tape, but due to time
constraints I couldn't
The First 5 of these were made before "Nightly Convinience"
The Three City built up my skills in Blender, and served as a basis
for it
(Made as an Album Cover for a Eurobeat Track I did)
